Terms of Service & Shipping

Age Requirement

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase alcohol. By placing your order you have represented to Brix Wine & Liquor that you are at least 21. All wines delivered must be received by an adult of legal drinking age who provides a valid ID as proof of age. Please consider arranging for delivery to a business location to avoid undue delay.

Returns & Cancellations

New York State law prohibits the return of any alcoholic beverages once they have been delivered or received. Defective merchandise can be exchanged within 15 days of receipt of order. Any return will be done at the expense of the customer. Orders refused, canceled, or otherwise requested as a return after the order is sent to a third party carrier for delivery will incur a restocking fee of 15%. Fees assessed for payment to the third party carrier are non-refundable.

Shipping

Most orders are processed and leave our store within 1-2 business days. Brix Wine & Liquor does not, itself, provide shipping services. We strive for orders placed early in the day to be sent to the third party carrier for delivery the same day. Brix Wine & Liquor does not guarantee any estimated shipping time.

Common carriers will not deliver alcohol to all states, therefore those states have been removed from our shipping options at checkout. Shipment of wine to the following states is prohibited: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah. FedEx cannot deliver alcoholic beverages to a PO, APO, or FPO box. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

By ordering with Brix Wine & Liquor, we act on behalf of the purchaser to coordinate delivery through the third party. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to act in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. You represent and warrant that you have obtained any required permission, paid any required fees and taxes and are working though properly licensed intermediates where required.

We offer 5 shipping options, all via FedEx delivery at this time. Local pickup is also available at no extra cost. Not all shipping options are available to certain delivery addresses. FedEx orders do not ship out on Saturday or Sunday. Delivery options are as follows and costs are determined at checkout:

  • Standard Overnight
  • 2Day
  • Express Saver
  • Ground
Processing

Processing time is not included in these delivery times. An email will immediately acknowledge receipt of your order, while a second email will confirm your order has been processed and is prepared for shipment. We will contact you by the end of the next business day if there is any problem with your order. If special delivery dates or immediate shipment is required, please contact us at 518.899.9559.
