This red blend from Penedes, Spain has an intensely fruity nose with notes of blackberry jam, rose petals and a hint of licorice. In the mouth the wine has a sweet entry with flavors of dried cherry and red currant along with subtle spice. Elaboration:
Each variety is harvested and fermented separately. Pre-maceration in cold, later maceration and fermentation. Malolactic fermentation, additional racking, blending, clarification, slight tartaric stabilization and final filtering before bottling.
Gastronomy and recommendations:
This is a very versatile wine that combines very well with fish and meat. Excellent with cod in tomato sauce ratatouille and vegetables.Traditional meat recipes, such as pork loin stuffed with dried fruit, fricandeau and other stews, combine perfectly with this fresh red wine.
